Privacy Policy

News Atlas (“we”, “the site”) is a free live news feed that shows public headlines from open GDELT data. We aim to keep the product simple: no accounts and no login.
Information we collect
- Local preferences — filter choices and timespans may be stored in your browser’s
localStorageso settings persist between visits. This data stays on your device. - Technical logs — our host (for example Vercel) may automatically collect standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, and request times for security and reliability.
- Analytics / ads — if Google AdSense (or similar) is enabled, Google and partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. See Google’s advertising policies.
How we use information
We use technical data to run and improve the site, prevent abuse, and (when configured) show relevant advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Third-party services
- GDELT Project / Google News RSS — headline metadata is fetched server-side from public news feeds. Following a headline opens the publisher’s site.
- Google AdSense — when enabled, ads are provided by Google. You can learn about controls at Google Ads Settings.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
